May 17, 2001 David Farmer wins WATS Challenge at Houston Technology ForumZunna, Inc. showed off WATS today at the Houston Technology Forum for Financial Planners. As part of the demonstration, Zunna held the WATS Challenge, which is a contest to see who can come closest to correctly answering a problem dealing with historical success rates for different withdrawal strategies. Click here to see the Houston WATS Challenge. The WATS Challenge is a way to show off the computational power of WATS while having some fun. Anyone who enjoys numerical brain teasers enjoys the WATS Challenge. The answers given by 16 respondents ranged in value from 1.75 to 3.99%. The correct answer was 3.74%. Mr. Farmer's guess was 3.7%.
